Fertilization For Your Greenville Lawn

By in Uncategorized

Landscaper GreenvilleAs the Summer months come to a close, its time to start thinking about lawn maintenance. Most grass will be going through a growing cycle in the months to come and you need to prepare your lawn to flourish during the cycle.

Because there are so many products and so many different way to go about fertilization, there is a lot you need to know about fertilization before you begin.

Most of the fertilizers out there today are either combinations with other agents, or should be mixed with other weed control and pest control agents.

If the fertilizer you use is not mixed and you have any sign of weeds, pests, etc., you should combine it with the needed control agents. There is a lot of information out there on proper ways to mix different landscaping products.

You are going to want to stay away from using products with high nitrogen if the lawn is dormant (during the summer and winter months) and use high nitrogen when preparing for growing seasons.

Most Greenville landscapers will agree: there is no specific time that you need to start fertilization, but it does depend on the weather and conditions more than anything. If it is still very hot come next month, you may want to wait just a little bit longer before starting.

Read the labels on the package or consult a Greenville Landscaper if you don’t understand before you start using any lawn care product. Using too much or too little of a product can be detrimental to you lawn and can end up being a waste of money if used incorrectly.

You need to prepare your lawn before fertilization, it isn’t something that can just be done and forgotten about. Be sure you are comfortable with all products before using them and be sure you are using them when you are supposed to.
