Keeping Your Trees Healthy in Greenville

By in Landscaping

Maintaining healthy trees is not always a straightforward process. Your trees may appear to be in good shape on the outside, but this is not always the case.

There are a number of things you can, and should, do to ensure the life and health of your trees.

If you are unsure about this our team of landscapers can help you with your grounds maintenance .

The key to any landscaping success begins before the plant is even in the ground. Especially true with trees, you need to be sure that you are planing the tree in a place where it can thrive.

You need to pay close attention to the surroundings; any power lines or other height restrictions need to be closely taken into account when selecting the type of tree to plant. Also be sure to pay close attention to how much shade and how much sun the tree is going to get.

You may also want to mulch around the trees in order to lower the amount of compaction. This will protect the soil from drying out and keep the lawn mower and trimmers from damaging the trees bark. Mulch about 2 to 4 inches, but be carful around the trunk; this can force decay and rotting.

Feed your trees! Though we have been getting rain recently here in Greenville, you need to be sure your trees and landscape are getting enough water.

There are a number of precautions that need to be taken, your trees and landscaping in Greenville will not maintain their health if you are not taking the necessary steps.
